We had a big fire in Massena today and here are our firemen after they returned from battling the blaze. The little one had trouble hanging on to the hoses, he just drooled a lot to put out the fire. Aren't they the most handsome firemen???
This is just some "jots" about our grandson Jordan and life in general concerning our family.
I got to babysit today and so I thought I had better get some pictures of Jordan. The first two are actually from the other night when Jordan was here. Rachel decided to get a few of me with Jordan. There were some others taken but I wasn't smiling. The other two were from today. Jordan was very smiley today. The one was while I was holding him and the other was on the "Happy Hippo".
This is one of the times he was punching me.
What an interesting look he is giving me!
I know it has been a little while since I have posted anything here, but there hasn't been a lot of anything happening. Jeffrey got laid off from his job right after New Year's Day, so I haven't been babysitting on my day off. They have been here to visit but I usually forget to take any pictures. Today Tina and Jeffrey came for supper and then they went grocery shopping at "Hannaford" so Rachel said she would keep Jordan. As you can see, he went to sleep and so the two of them just sat relaxing in the chair. This should keep everyone happy for a while. A picture and a post to keep you informed. Anyway, Jordan is cuter than ever and just as sweet as his grandparents, all four of them! Later!
Tonight Jeffrey Jr. and Justin went to Ottawa to see the Carolina Hurricanes and the Ottawa Senators play hockey
We had some company for part of the weekend. Jordan and his parents came and stayed because Tina was working in Massena on Saturday. We were happy that they were here. Saturday evening Rachel and I took Jordan shopping at the mall. He fell asleep while we were shopping. I took more pictures and will probably post more tomorrow evening. Jordan and Grandma sharing a special moment in the picture.
As you can see, we have had some unusually warm weather here in the North Country. We had several days of 40 and 50 degree above zero weather and it melted all of our snow. I took these picture this morning before I went to work. I was amazed at how green the grass was under the snow but more amazing is "where did all the snow go?" As you can see our mailbox is no longer buried in the snow either. They are calling for snow/sleet/freezing rain possibly tonight or in the morning but 40 by afternoon. It will get cold again, but we are almost half way through January.
This is our house buried under a lot of snow. Justin's girlfriend, Stacy, came to visit this weekend. My sister Chris was here for part of the weekend too. We really got dumped on with the snow. Justin and Stacy went snowboarding on Monday and they had fresh snow for that, and then we got another storm on Tuesday. I guess we are in for an old fashioned winter. As I write this the temp is at -1. It is cold.
Here is what you can see of our mailbox. We have had a lot of snow this year already. We still got several months of winter left, I don't know what we will do with it all if we get a lot more.
